steampunk jewelry...

Found an old pocket watch and took out the gears inside. Then I did a collage paper/paint and put it inside with a reminder that "time flies, breathe deeply." I added some watch gear and charms for more interest, and a heavy chain. I've been on a kick to honor the woman within, so that's why there are so many women in my art right now. We've got to honor ourselves...

Friendship angel painting in the series...

In the series of Living From The Heart, I made another collage with paper and paint. This one is called Friendship. I don't know what I would do without my girlfriends who are always there for me. This is to celebrate you all!

Another Live from the Heart creation...

Living from the heart is the only way to go in my opinion. Everything else is exterior fluff and busy-ness. It's a bit of a challenge to live from the heart but well worth the effort (or non-effort really.) When we let go, we go with the flow...

This is a mixed media collage with layers of paper and paint. The hearts are made from polymer clay and painted. Can't have too many of those! :)

Spring flowers...

Got some pictures of flowers that I have in pots along the walkway. The pink butterfly look-alikes are Cleome. They are sooo beautiful, but the flowers last about two days. The Geraniums go on forever, and then I have a Fucsia that is really pretty. The picture is a bit blurry alas. Going back to my art, but how can I create anything that beautiful? Impossible, but one can strive...

Art Journaling...

When I'm stumped for inspiration to create pieces, I like to doodle in my art journal. The entries aren't fancy by any means, but they represent what I feel at the moment I write them. Some are mixed media, some are just outpourings, and some plain silly! It's a very personal way to show what you're thinking or feeling, sometimes more honest than the regular "art" I produce as that seems to travel along the same track pretty much, though I hope that I keep developing!

Got a bit of creativity in this last week...

I'm happy to announce that I finally got some creativity going again. Made some of my mosaic boxes, and these ones are small, about 3" x 3." They are cute that size. I've been doing a lot of other stuff-- painting furniture for one, but I consider that more of a job than a creative outlet. I'm also into art journaling but I don't like any of my entries... But it's fun to start without a plan and see where it leads. Will post some pictures of those soon.

Been gone too long...

I'm back! Not that I intended on taking a hiatus, but we moved our shop Easy Street Home Decor to a new location. It's pure HELL to move a shop if you didn't know that... Anyway, I haven't had much time to post or create art. I also have to change the info in the store's website and the pictures, which is time consuming.
