Busy beady day!

Got into some beads today.  I had two pendants with very interesting patterns--dogstooth amethyst, that I bought the other day.  I love the deep purple and the jagged lines in the stone.  Rooting around in my stash of beads I came up with this combo of colors to enhance the focal point in each necklace.

Green Nile Goddess...  I was trying to come up with the best pictures to put these necklaces in my etsy shop.  There's more work to be done on that, but you get the sneak preview... Amethyst and Fluorite.

Himalayan Goddess...  there's a mountain in that pendant.  Amethyst, lavender fluorite, agates, and moonstone.

steampunk jewelry...

Found an old pocket watch and took out the gears inside. Then I did a collage paper/paint and put it inside with a reminder that "time flies, breathe deeply." I added some watch gear and charms for more interest, and a heavy chain. I've been on a kick to honor the woman within, so that's why there are so many women in my art right now. We've got to honor ourselves...

Kuan Yin pendant...

I like to glue things to other things. Mostly I use paper, and this was no exception. I glued this picture of Kuan Yin to a chandelier crystal teardrop and flanked it with some blue/turquoise beads. I really like blues and turquoises--my fave colors! Anyway, I don't know where my creative muse has gone. She's been absent lately, and I'm only LOOKING at my studio rather than working IN IT. Maybe it just needs a major cleaning... Sigh. I'd like to get back into painting.

I always catch inspiration from Nature around me, but we've had some frosts and all the pretty greens are now brown. They'll come back, but I can't wait for spring to arrive and some HOT weather...
This necklace can be purchased in my shop on Artfire. Click on link on the sidebar.

Sea Goddess bracelet...

I've been into charm bracelets lately, and how much fun they are! Seeing as I live in FL I like the cool, frothy sea colors that are around here. My wardrobe is full of sea colors, and also pinks, reds, and oranges. No subtle shades for me! :)

This is a star flying steampunk angel/fairy pendant on an metal oxidized chain. So much fun to make! The watch parts are from a big bag of vintage parts that I have. You'll see more of these in the future.
